The PRS SE Chleo was born from a collaboration between PRS Guitars and award-winning guitarist Herman Li.Herman Li, lead guitarist for the power metal band DragonForce, is a virtuoso renowned for his ultra-fast and impeccably precise playing style. Developed based on the limited-edition PRS Chleo Limited Edition from 2025, this SE signature model thoroughly addresses the needs of modern metal guitarists and boasts many features that set it apart from other models in the PRS lineup.

This model features a maple top and mahogany back, paired with a maple neck and ebony fingerboard. The ultra-thin, lightweight body, contoured with a three-dimensional curve, ensures comfortable playability even during extended performances.The neck shape and joint construction were designed exclusively for this model. The ultra-thin neck maintains strength through a slightly wider profile, while the 20-inch radius fingerboard enables smooth, stress-free, and speedy playing. Additionally, a carbon fiber rod is built into the neck, delivering high rigidity and sustain.

The fingerboard features Eclipse Dragon inlays, and the PRS trademark cutaway has been specially customized for this model to maximize access to the high frets. The bridge is equipped with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo, ensuring stable tuning even during aggressive whammy bar use.

Like the previously released PRS Chleo Limited Edition, the pickups feature the Fishman Fluence OMNIFORCE, Herman Lee’s signature model. It employs a multi-layer PCB structure that uses no copper, creating a wide-ranging, noise-free tone. The combination of three distinct voices and a versatile switching system produces 13 different sound variations.It covers every sound, from thick, aggressive rhythm tones to smooth, warm lead tones brimming with bite, and even single-coil tones with high transparency.

The control layout, designed with playability in mind, allows for smooth tone switching during performance and maximizes the guitar’s potential when paired with any gear, including high-gain tube amps, modeling amps, and DAW plugins.
