The pinnacle of guitar craftsmanship as envisioned by guitarist Steve Vai!
Steve himself describes the “PIA3761” signature model—which he named “PIA: Paradise in Art”—as “the evolution of the JEM.”
While the body is made of alder, just like the JEM, the body design incorporates new, carefully crafted details in areas such as the body edges, contours, and horns.

・Petal Grip
A symbolic grip design inspired by two intertwined petals—the most striking feature of the PIA. It serves as an important symbol representing unity and solidarity between people.
・PIA 5-Piece Maple/Walnut Neck
A high-rigidity 5-piece maple/walnut neck shaped to Steve’s preferred grip.
・PIA Blossom Inlay & Rosewood Fretboard
A custom “PIA Blossom” inlay featuring a graceful and beautiful botanical design. The side position markers incorporate Luminlay, a phosphorescent material.
・Scalloped Fretboard (21st–24th Frets)
Scalloped frets are applied in the high-fret range (21st–24th frets). The jumbo-sized stainless steel frets feature a smooth Prestige fret-edge treatment.
・USA-made DiMarzio UtoPIA pickups
Custom-designed to deliver smooth highs, scooped mids, and well-defined lows. Equipped with a beautifully decorated custom cover.
・High-Pass Filter
A high-pass filter can be activated via the push/pull function of the volume knob, maintaining clarity in the high frequencies.
・Edge Tremolo Bridge & Ultralite Tremolo Arm
The classic Edge tremolo, renowned for its extreme arpeggio capabilities and tuning stability, features the Lions Crow cavity design. Includes a lightweight, high-rigidity carbon graphite Ultralite Tremolo Arm.
・Magnetic Tremolo Cavity Plate
The backplate uses a magnetic system that allows for one-touch attachment and removal without screws.
