“RG j.custom Super Wizard AS” Asymmetrical Neck Shape, 5-Piece Maple/Wenge Neck
This neck is crafted from a 5-piece combination of maple and wenge, designed to prioritize natural sound while ensuring sufficient strength. It features an asymmetrical neck shape based on the ultra-thin SuperWizard profile, which was developed to maximize playability and thinness.While maintaining the neck thickness of 17mm at the nut and 19mm at the 12th fret, the shape is rounded toward the bass string side (6th string side). This provides a more secure fulcrum for the thumb and enhances playability for technical techniques such as wide stretches and sweep picking, which require a wide left-hand span.The neck back features a "Velvetouch" finish that feels as comfortable in your hand as a guitar that has been played for years.
Makassar Ebony Fingerboard
This special fingerboard features Makassar ebony—known for its hardness, excellent responsiveness, and distinctive vertical grain—and showcases the “Tree of Life” position inlay, one of the hallmarks of j.custom design.
Flame Maple (4mm) Top & Alder Body
Alder, known for its balanced, bright tone and rich sustain, is paired with AAA-grade flamed maple, renowned for its beautiful grain.
Deep and Beveled Lower Horn Scoop on the Body Back
The body back is deeply scooped on the treble side (1st string side) to improve playability in the higher positions.
Chambered Body
To meet players’ requests for a lighter instrument without compromising the wood’s acoustic properties, multiple holes approximately 3 cm in diameter have been drilled into the body top.
