BB700 Series
A multifunctional model featuring a 3-band active equalizer for precise sound shaping and switchable active/passive modes. Features a 3-ply alder/maple/alder body construction. The miter-bolted neck joint integrates the neck with the body, producing a powerful, resonant tone. Equipped with a convertible-type bridge that can be adjusted to suit your preferences.
Alder/Maple/Alder 3-Ply Body Construction
The new BB Series features an alder/maple/alder three-ply body construction. The hard maple sandwiched between the alder on both sides enriches the midrange and delivers a resonant tone that blends seamlessly into the band’s sound.
Miter Bolting for a Secure Neck Joint
The miter bolting system employs four screws that secure the neck vertically from the back of the body, plus two additional screws that secure the neck end at a 45-degree angle from the back of the body.
Newly Developed YGD Custom V7 Pickup
Features a newly developed, proprietary pickup. Combined with the alder/maple/alder body construction, it delivers a clear, cutting sound that stands out in a band setting. Available on the 700 Grade and Pro Grade models.
Active Circuit
The 700 Grade of the new BB allows you to switch between active and passive circuits with the flip of a switch. The active circuit is tuned specifically for the new BB’s well-defined tone. Furthermore, the treble knob on the 3-band equalizer functions as the master tone control when using the passive circuit, yet its delicate design ensures there is no change in volume when switching between modes.This allows for smooth, stress-free switching with natural tone adjustments. High-quality, gold-plated parts are used to minimize the risk of poor contact or sound quality degradation. The battery alert LED on the back panel lights up to indicate when it’s time to replace the batteries, preventing sudden power loss on stage.
Convertible Bridge & Saddle
The 700 and Pro grades feature a “string-through-body” construction, where the strings pass through the back of the body. Compared to the conventional method of routing strings vertically through the back of the body, routing them at a 45-degree angle transmits the energy of string vibration to the body with minimal loss.With the conventional “string-through-body” method, where strings pass directly beneath the saddle, there is significant loss of string vibration at the plate and saddle, making it difficult to transmit string vibration efficiently and reliably. However, by cutting the bottom of the body at an angle and routing the strings at a 45-degree angle, stress on the strings at the saddle is reduced.The different contact points of the semicircular saddles accommodate a wide range of the player’s expressive needs, from crisp, clear tones to warm, rich sounds. The Vintage Plus Bridge’s brass saddles produce deep, rich bass tones, while the steel plate delivers a bright sound. Metal parts such as springs and screws are made of stainless steel to ensure resistance to rust and corrosion.
