Since its inception in the 1960s, Yamaha’s “Red Label” has supported the dawn of Japanese folk music and spawned countless legends. The Japanese-made “FS,” a fusion of traditional design and skilled craftsmanship honed over more than 50 years, has finally received a long-awaited update.This new model features a newly adopted "Gloss Finish" on the body, which highlights the deep, beautiful wood grain and exudes an even greater sense of luxury and refined elegance.

The body shape features Yamaha’s original “FS Concert Style,” which is compact and easy to hold. It offers excellent playability that fits the body perfectly, producing a sound with exceptional clarity and responsiveness unique to its compact size. It boasts an exquisite tonal balance ideal for rhythmic fingerpicking and chord strums where every note rings out clearly.

The guitar features a luxurious all-solid construction, with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides that produce warm, rich midrange tones.The top features Yamaha’s proprietary “A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)” treatment, which delivers a warm, resonant tone with minimal harsh overtones—sounding like a well-played, aged vintage guitar despite being brand new.Furthermore, utilizing the latest acoustic analysis simulation technology, the "proprietary scalloped bracing" optimized for the FS’s compact body shape delivers a rich, full-bodied low end that exceeds expectations for its size, along with a resonant, full-bodied tone.

The headstock inherits Yamaha’s traditional V-shape and features a truss rod cover engraved with the tuning fork logo and “Since 1966,” signifying the model’s origins.Each instrument is meticulously set up by hand by skilled Japanese craftsmen, featuring a "cowbone nut and saddle" for exceptional sound transmission efficiency and luxurious ebony for the fingerboard, bridge, and bridge pins. The back of the neck is finished with a smooth satin finish, providing smooth position shifting and outstanding playability.
