USED Martin / D-28 made in 1976 [03]

The D-28 was created in 1976, the year America became closer to home!

The year 1976 marked the bicentennial of the founding of the United States of America. In Japan, Popeye magazine was first published that year, and young people began to open their eyes to American culture. At the time, the folk song boom in Japan had given way to a new music boom, but the music of many American West Coast rock artists was introduced, and the popularity of American guitars such as Martin's, which they loved, grew even more than the folk boom.
For those who lived through the 70's in real time, the D-28 from such a memorable era is now in stock. It features non-scalloped bracing, Grover Rotomatic pegs, decal logo, and a black pickguard (although it has been replaced). Regrettably, the case is not blue, but the horsepower and dependable sound of the D-28 is typical of its time, and combined with its appearance, it makes one nostalgic. For the later generation, the different neck grip and thick resonance may be fresh.
There is a 21cm-long Martin crack correction mark (with patch) near the edge of the body. The pickguard has been newly made by our partner repair shop, but the surface has been painted so as not to spoil the atmosphere of the original product.
There are some dents, scratches, scuffs, and shiny satin paint on the back of the neck, but considering the age of the guitar, it is still relatively clean. There are some weather checks on the top. The neck angle was corrected, refretted, fingerboard was corrected, saddle was replaced, and the nut was raised and groove was corrected at a partner repair workshop. The neck is now in the same condition as when it left the factory, and the playability and sound are perfect.
Even though it has a thick core, it does not sound too boomy, and the balance from high to low tones is excellent. This is a lifetime instrument. This is one that we recommend.
