Limited edition of 461! 000-42 Eric Clapton Model!

The first Eric Clapton signature model for Martin, released in 1995. It was produced in a limited edition of 461 pieces in honor of the famous album "461 Ocean Boulvard".
This is one of the rare pieces.
The label is signed and numbered by Eric Clapton himself.
Ebony fingerboard with snowflake inlays, beautiful Avalon inlays, and ivoroid binding that recreates the high-end specifications of the 1930s.
With a Sitka spruce top, East Indian rosewood back and sides, and using only the best woods this guitar has to offer, the sound and playability are truly top class.
The sound and playability of this guitar are top-notch, not only for fingerpicking, but for any kind of lead playing.

The cell binding on the back side has a groove just below the neck heel due to binding shrinkage.
The nut groove has been cut deeper and the saddle has been replaced (cow bone).
L.R. Baggs Element Active pickups are installed. The metal parts of the pegs are tarnished.
There are some other minor scratches, but the guitar looks clean for a guitar made in the mid 1990's. The neck is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition with a little twist. The frets have been rubbed together and are approximately 80% high. The string height is about 2.5mm at the 12th fret of the 6th string and about 2.0mm at the 12th fret of the 1st string.
Both playability and sound are perfect, with a solid volume, confident vibration throughout the guitar, and overflowing, brilliant overtones characteristic of the 40s.
This is a valuable guitar, but it has specifications that allow it to be used well with plug-ins.

1995年に発売されたマーティンでは最初のエリック・クラプトン・シグネチャー・モデル。名盤『461 Ocean Boulvard』にちなんで461本の限定生産となっていました。
当個体はその中の貴重な一本です。
ラベルにはエリッククラプトン本人の直筆サインと個体ナンバーが入っています。
スノーフレーク・インレイを施したエボニー指板、美しいアバロン・インレイ。1930年代の高級スペックを再現したアイボロイド・バインディング。
シトカ・スプルース・トップ、イースト・インディアン・ローズウッドのバックとサイド、このギターに相応しいトップクラスの木材のみを使い、サウンドも演奏性もまさにトップクラス。
フィンガーピッキングばかりではなく、どんなリードプレイにも実力を発揮します。

バック側のセルバインディングの、ちょうどネックヒールの下側の部分に、バインディングの収縮による溝が生じています。
ナット溝が深く削られており、サドルは交換されています(牛骨)。
ピックアップはL.R.BAGGS Element Activeが取り付けられています。ペグの金属パーツのくすみが見られます。
その他、細かなキズなどはございまいますが1990年代なかばのギターとしては綺麗な外観です。

ネックの状態はシビアにみれば少しねじれがございます。フレットは擦り合わせ済で高さは8割前後残っています。弦高は6弦12フレットで約2.5mm、1弦12フレットで約2.0mmとなっています。
演奏性、サウンドともに申し分なく、確かな音量、ギター全体に自信に満ちた振動感があり、あふれんばかりの輝きに満ちた40番台特有の倍音を示します。
貴重なギターではありますが、プラグインでもしっかりと使える仕様となっております。

The items name with "USED" are used items, and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.
