D-42 with long saddle!

The D-42 was first produced in 1996, and this particular guitar was made in 1998 with a 42.9mm nut width. There is no evidence of bridge replacement or expansion of the saddle slots, and although there is no Custom Shop mark, it is believed to be the original factory specification. The long saddle makes it look like a D-45V from the front. The pickguard has been replaced with a Tortoise pickguard, which also gives the guitar a vintage look.
There are some minor dents, shallow scratches and scuffs on the surface of the paint, a history of cell peeling correction at the neck of the body, and tarnished plating on metal parts, but there is no noticeable damage. A strap button has been retrofitted to the heel of the neck.
The neck is in good condition, and the truss rod has been confirmed to operate at 60 degrees left and right. The frets are still over 80% high, and both playability and sound are perfect.
The hard case that comes with the instrument is a Martin case with a flat lid, as used on the 16 series and other models.
The sound is strong and powerful with deep resonance. This is one of the best examples of Martin's dreadnought.

「ロング・サドル仕様のD-42！」

1996年から生産が開始されたD-42。当個体はネックはナット幅42.9mmの1998年製。D-42はショート・サドルが標準仕様ですが、この個体にはロング・サドルが付いております。ブリッジの交換痕やサドル・スロットの拡張歴は認められず、カスタム・ショップの表記はないもののファクトリー・オリジナルの仕様と思われます。ロング・サドルのため正面から見るとD-45Vのようです。なおピックガードはトーティスと思われる物に交換されていますが、これがまたヴィンテージ的な風合いを感じさせています。
細かな打痕、塗膜表面上の浅い引っ掻き傷や擦り傷が僅かに確認でき、ボディのくびれ部のセル剥がれ修正歴、金属部品のメッキのくすみも確認できますが、目立つダメージはありません。ネック・ヒール部にストラップ・ボタンが後付けされています。
ネックの状態は適正で、トラス・ロッドは左右60度の動作確認済です。フレットの高さは8割以上残っており、演奏性、サウンドともに申し分ありません。
付属のハード・ケースはマーティンの物ですが、16シリーズなどに使用される蓋が平らなタイプとなっています。
深いレゾナンスを感じさせながら、力強く鳴ってくれます。マーティンのドレッドノートの醍醐味が味わえる一本。

The items name with "USED" are used items, and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.
