The 2018 Fender Custom Shop/2019 Vintage Custom 1957 Stratocaster NOS Aged White Blonde is now in stock!

The VINTAGE CUSTOM series revisits ideas that were originally conceived as prototypes.
This 1957 reissue Stratocaster, known as the "Mary Kaye" Strat, is a white blonde with gold parts.
Named after the legendary female guitarist and Las Vegas performer "Mary Kaye", this was one of the earliest models custom built by Fender at the time.

Rare 1-piece ash is used for the body material, and 1-piece maple is used for the neck material.
The fingerboard radius is 7.25 - 9.5 Compound Radius, and the frets are JESCAR / #50085. The fretboard is equipped with "JESCAR / #50085" frets, which are easy to fit the hand from low to high positions and provide excellent playability.
57 Style Soft "V" neck grip is adopted. The soft V shape makes it easy to grip the neck and allows you to experience the specifications and playing comfort of the 57.
The "Aged White Blonde" color, which allows the characteristic grain of ash to show through, is combined with a 1-ply 8-point pickguard and gold parts to give the vintage specs a high-class look and feel.
The finish is a "Flash Coat Lacquer Finish", an ultra-thin NOS finish that replicates the unused condition.

Three original "Hand Wound 57 Strat" pickups are installed.
The vintage tone of the Custom Shop is characterized by the punchy bass and extended treble of those days.
The response is also very good, reflecting the delicate picking nuance that can only be felt by hand wound pickups.
The controls are 5-way switch master volume, front tone, and center tone.

There are some picking scratches and line scratches on the body and pickguard, but there are no other noticeable scratches or dents.
The sound and appearance of this guitar can be enjoyed as if it were brand new.

The white blonde color body with transparent wood grain and gold hardware make this an attractive piece!

プロトタイプの考案されていたアイディアを再訪するVINTAGE CUSTOMシリーズ。
今回は杢目の見えるホワイトブロンドカラーにゴールドパーツを合わせたい合わゆる"Mary Kaye"ストラトとして知られる1957年のリイシュー・ストラトキャスター。
伝説の女性ギタリストでもあるラスベガスのパフォーマー「メアリー・ケイ」に由来し、当時のフェンダーがカスタム製作した初期モデルの1つでございます。

ボディ材に希少な1ピースアッシュを、ネック材には追柾目の1ピースメイプルを使用。
指板ラジアスには「7.25 - 9.5 Compound Radius」を採用し、フレットには「JESCAR / #50085」を搭載。ローポジションからハイポジションまで手にフィットしやすく演奏性も抜群な仕様となっております。
ネックグリップは「57 Style Soft "V"」を採用。握りこみやすいソフトVシェイプを採用することにより57年の仕様と弾き心地を体感できる1本でございます。
アッシュの特徴的な杢目が透ける「Aged White Blonde」カラーに、1プライの8点止めピックガード、ゴールドパーツを合わせたヴィンテージスペックに高級感のある見た目へと仕上げられております。
フィニッシュには「フラッシュコートラッカーフィニッシュ」という極薄のNOS仕上げを施しており、未使用の状態を再現した仕上げとなっております。

ピックアップにはオリジナルの「Hand Wound 57 Strat 」を3機搭載。
当時の程よい低音のパンチ感と伸びの良い高音が特徴となっており、カスタムショップならではのヴィンテージトーンとなっております。
またハンドワウンドでしか感じることのできない繊細なピッキングニュアンスも反映するレスポンスの良さもまた魅力でございます。
コントロールは5Wayスイッチのマスターボリューム・フロントトーン・センタートーン仕様でございます。

状態に関しましては、ボディとピックガードにピッキング傷、線傷が見受けられますがそれ以外に大きく目立つような傷や打痕は見受けられません。
見た目もサウンドも新品同様に楽しむことができる1本でございます。
