USED Gibson USA / Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top 1970-72 [03]

We have an early 70s Gibson LesPaul Deluxe Gold Top in stock!

The assembly seems to be virgin, but there is solder on the pots, and we can only confirm 197X and up to the 70s. The double ring escutcheon is up to around 1972, and the embossed logo mini-ham is from mid-1971 to around 1972, so we think it is from around 1971, but we cannot be sure. However, we cannot be certain, so we have used this description.

The Deluxe was first sold in 1969, a little later than the Les Paul, and has become more popular and rare every year due to its shorter production period compared to the Les Pauls with full-size humbuckers and the re-evaluation of the attractive tone that only a mini humbucker can provide!

It has a pancake body made of mahogany sandwiched by maple, maple top, and a 3-piece mahogany neck with volute, which is typical of Gibson in the early 70s.

The PU is original, with two sticker-numbered mini-humbuckers.
Compared to full-size humbuckers, the tone is a little brighter and tighter, and it is easy to pick nuance and to get a good sound through, making it very easy to handle.

Both have a resistance value of approximately 6.9k. (Measurements were taken with the pots and other parts passed through.)

As mentioned above, the pot date is covered with solder, and we can only confirm that it is from the 70's. However, there is no evidence that it has been replaced, so we judge it to be original.

The bridge and tailpiece have been replaced.
A sponge has been added under the PU.

Double-ring Cruson pegs, reflector knob, frets, and nut are still original.

Overall, there are weather checks, scratches, dings, and other signs of use appropriate for the age of the instrument.
There is also a "2" stamped on the back of the head, indicating that this was a second hand instrument sold at the time.

It is in good playing condition and has an excellent sound!
The value has been increasing year by year, and the number of pieces available has been decreasing.
