Paul's Guitar, like the Modern Eagle, has been a model that has reflected Paul's new ideas on sound one after another throughout the history of PRS, and Paul himself decided on all specifications, from wood selection to pickups. Body, Neck, and Fingerboard
The body is a royal combination of flame maple top, mahogany back, and mahogany neck. The fingerboard is made of Honduran rosewood.

Neck Shape
Pattern" neck shape is used for McCarty and other guitars, which is more rounded than Pattern Regular and has a slightly grippy feel.

Pickups
Two mini toggle switches are located between the volume and tone knobs, and this setup allows either or both pickups to be set to full single-coil mode. This setup allows either or both pickups to be set to full single-coil mode, producing a crisp and unique vintage single-coil sound in both single-coil and humbucker positions.
