Marcus Miller is one of the best bass players of our time, and is known for his jazz and fusion music, but also for his ability to transcend genre boundaries.

This model was first released in 2003, and was manufactured for about 10 years until the endorsement contract between Fender and Marcus expired. The one we have just received was made in 2003, which is the first year it was released.

The material is polyurethane coated "premium" ash body with a C-shape pasted maple neck and 20 medium jumbo frets. And the larger-than-usual 3-ply pickguard, synonymous with Marcus Miller. The body and brass saddles can be threaded through the back, and the design is modern in every respect.

The active circuit is the most eye-catching feature. The controls consist of 2 volumes, 2-band EQ, and an active/passive switch. Batteries are powered by 2 x 9V batteries. The pickups are Fender's original "Custom Vintage-Style 5-String Single-Coil Jazz Bass".
The tone does not change as much as other makers, but the treble and bass can be boosted and cut respectively, so there is plenty of room for sound making. Even in passive mode, the powerful sound is still there, and you can enjoy the volume that is comparable to that of the active mode. The overall weight of 4.84kg is a little heavy, but it can be said that it is a good model with an identity that is typical of the late 70s period when it was modeled.

The remaining frets are about 80% full. The truss rod has about half a round left to tighten, but the neck is currently straight and there are no playability issues.
This is a chance to acquire a classic instrument of yesteryear that rarely appears on the market. Please take this opportunity to purchase one!
