USED MARTIN / 1965 D-18 [03]

We have a used 1965 Martin D-18 in stock.
The spruce and mahogany body is characterized by its soft sound, but this one has a firm, solid, raw sound with a core.
The whole body vibrates well and the volume is very loud. Needless to say, it is a perfect match for fingerpicking, but it also produces a sparkling sound when played with strokes. The neck has a "T" shaped T-bar rod instead of a neck adjusting rod.

Fret adjustment, neck ironing, nut replacement, and bracing gluing have been done.
The bridge saddle is made of cow bone, and although it has been cut low, the proper tension is maintained.
String height at the 12th fret of the 6th string is about 2.3 mm, and string height at the 12th fret of the 1st string is about 1.5 mm. The bridge pins have been replaced.
There is a crack repaired on the right side, which has been repaired from the inside and the surface has been painted. The pegs have been replaced and there are traces of the original pegs.
There are some picking scratches, numerous dents, and weather checks due to age. A strap pin has been added to the side of the neck heel, and the pickguard has a Martin crack at the bottom of the first string due to shrinkage, which has been repaired from the inside. There is a hole in the bridge plate where a piezo pickup may have been installed, and the end pins have been replaced with wooden ones. There are several Velcro tape and wiring tape marks inside the body that may have been used to attach a battery. The back of the neck appears to have been refinished.

The blue case that comes with the guitar has a lot of damage such as stickers and cracks, and the entire case is discolored.
