The Historic Collection is a series of reissues of famous historical instruments produced by the Gibson Custom Shop.
We are pleased to announce the arrival of a 2020 Historic Collection 1961 ES-335 Reissue Sixties Cherry VOS!

Maple/poplar/maple 3-ply body with mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard.
The neck shape is "Authentic '61 Skinny C-Shape".
The slim neck shape is typical of this period, and the grip is comfortable in the hand.

The body color is the popular "Sixties Cherry".
The body color is "Sixties Cherry," a popular color for this period, and the VOS finish has a vintage feel to it, giving it a very cool look.

Two original "Custombucker (Unpotted)" pickups are mounted on the body.
Unpotted pickups faithfully reproduce the vintage sound.
The sweet and warm tone characteristic of early humbuckers is very attractive.

There are some minor dents and scuffs on the back of the body, but there are no significant scratches.
There are some dulling of parts due to the original VOS finish.

This is a cherry-colored ES-335 that has become increasingly popular in recent years!
This is one of the best Custom Shop-made ES-335s in terms of both looks and sound!
