USED GIBSON CUSTOM / ES-150CC Vintage Sunburst [03]

A 2001 ES-150CC has arrived!
This is a reissue model of a full-acoustic guitar equipped with the “CC pickup” (a large single-coil pickup with blade-style pole pieces)—the same model favored by Charlie Christian, the pioneer of jazz guitar. Produced in limited quantities from the late 1990s to the early 2000s, this model is highly sought after on the market.

The body features a solid spruce top and maple back and sides, paired with a mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard. The C-shaped neck ensures smooth playability.

The pickup—the defining feature of this model—is a Charlie Christian-style blade single-coil (CC Pickup), which features a unique design where a massive magnet is mounted directly to the body with three screws.
Its dynamic sound is captivating—it’s as if the natural acoustic resonance were being purely amplified by a massive microphone.

Overall, there are scattered minor scratches and dents, some tarnish on the hardware, and paint thinning due to age. Additionally, there is a somewhat noticeable dent below the control knob on the top of the body.

Although this model typically comes equipped with Waverly tuners, it is fitted with Gibson Deluxe tuners. Since there are no visible signs of replacement, we have determined these to be original.
We have replaced the control knobs, corrected the ground wire, and adjusted the truss rod, which was seized. The truss rod is set to about 60 degrees in the tightening direction and feels slightly stiff. There are no particular issues when loosening it.

Unfortunately, the certificate of authenticity is missing, but considering its age—and the fact that the pickguard film is still intact—it remains in good condition. It is a highly rare instrument and highly recommended for players!
