USED FENDER JAPAN / JB62-60 3-Tone-Sunburst [03]

Newly arrived is a 1985 Fender Japan made by Fujigen!

We have determined that it was made in 1985 based on the "Made in Japan" label, E serial number, and neck date.

The slabbed rosewood fingerboard and the ground wire under the rear PU are modeled after the 1962 Jazz Bass. The "JB62" is one of the most popular Japanese Fender models along with the "JB75" also made by Fender Japan.
As you can see, this model is equipped with a rare pearl pickguard. Of course, there is a possibility that the pickguard has been replaced, but there is a "JBD-62" stamp on the neck joint, which is said to be a custom-ordered item at that time, so there is no denying the possibility that this is an original item by order.
There are no other changes to the electrical system, and we have determined that it is original. Each pickup is covered with conductive tape, which is a familiar feature of this era.

The sound is a little boomy with a tight low midrange. The relatively heavy total weight of 4.47kg allows the player to enjoy a pleasant, deep bass that resonates to the core. The sound will not be buried in a band ensemble, but will work well as a pillar of the ensemble.

The body has some scratches, parts are dull, and there are some dents scattered around the back of the neck and the back of the body, but the neck is in good condition. The truss rod works fine.

It is in such good condition that it is hard to believe that this instrument has been around for 40 years! Playability is still there! Please take this opportunity to purchase this instrument!
