This time, we've received the American Vintage Series from Fender, launched in 1982. It's a hugely popular model recreating the 1962 vintage. The current version has been upgraded to the American Vintage II Series.

Based on the neck date, we've determined this particular unit was manufactured in 1994.
It features traditional materials: an alder body, a slab rosewood fingerboard, and a maple neck. While American Vintage models from that era often had noticeable individual variations, this particular instrument boasts an excellent neck grip and a feel we can confidently recommend to any customer.
Additionally, this model features the stacked knob configuration (2Volume, 2Tone) seen on guitars made until early 1962. Its looks alone make it a truly romantic piece.

The sound is well-balanced, centered around a rich, full midrange, delivering a truly vintage-like character as the name suggests. The way the lows lift is particularly superb. Despite being a regular line model, it feels like high-end quality. The nicely aged character and crisp high end also leave a favorable impression.
The neck is currently nearly straight. The truss rod is quite tightened, but we confirmed about half a turn of adjustment remains. The frets are about 60-70% worn, but it's still in a condition that will serve you well for many years. Overall, there are some scuffs and some dullness on the parts, but considering its age, it shows relatively little wear.
