The Ray4, Sterling’s value-for-money model, is now available used!

True to its name, Sterling—founded in 2008—carries on the MusicMan tradition. With its quirky yet charming looks, it has gained a following among a wide range of fans, from beginners to StingRay enthusiasts.

The model we’ve just received is the Ray4, Sterling’s most affordable model.
It features a basswood body, a hard maple neck, and a Jatoba fingerboard. The neck and fingerboard, in particular, offer a combination of excellent durability and rigidity, resulting in a crisp, articulate tone.
The controls feature a simple configuration: one volume knob and a two-band EQ with boost/cut controls for bass and treble. Both offer a natural, easy-to-use response while retaining the nuances of the original StingRay.

Based on the serial number, it is believed to have been manufactured in 2020. While there are some playing marks on the pickguard and minor scuffs throughout, the overall condition is excellent with minimal signs of use.
The neck is currently straight, the truss rod functions properly, and there are no issues with playability. There is virtually no fret wear.
