The Maryland-made SILVER SKY, perfected by John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith over two years, is essentially John Mayer's "ideal model." It not only became a global hit by blending vintage aesthetics with modern ideas and functionality, but is already beloved by many professional guitarists.

In 2021, it became the best-selling US-made guitar on the American online music store Reverb.com. The newly announced SE SILVER SKY has already generated significant buzz worldwide on social media and the internet even before its Japanese release, with the initial shipment selling out completely before its domestic launch.

・Like the US model, the headstock design is based on PRS's signature shape but incorporates John Mayer's playing style, featuring a curved design with extra space on the 1st string side to prevent fingers from hitting the headstock. It also employs a unique tuning peg configuration for enhanced tuning stability.

・The neck follows the 635JM specification (using 635 to signify the years 63 and 5, representing the period between 1963 and 1964), inspired by the shape of vintage guitars from that era. It features a rosewood fingerboard, bolt-on neck, 22 frets, a 25.5-inch scale length, and PRS's signature bird inlays, scaled down to Small Birds.

・The steel tremolo follows a classic design but incorporates knife-edge screws to minimize tuning drift during arm action. Per John Mayer's specifications, the bridge is set flush against the body for direct string vibration transfer.

・The SE SILVER SKY exclusive 635JM "S" single-coil pickup, like the US model, produces a sound with rich midrange. It delivers not only a thick, lustrous clean tone but also a sound characterized by bite and attack when overdriven.

・Pursuing playability and balance for a wider range of players, the fretboard radius was changed from the US model's 7.25" to 8.5".

Minor scratches and slight discoloration on some parts are present. All playing-related conditions, including the neck, frets, and truss rod, are in perfect working order.
Additionally, upon arrival, our repair center performed a full adjustment and fret leveling, so you can use it with confidence.
