A classic Fender Japan model has arrived in our used inventory!

"Fender"—needless to say, the original electric bass.
Fender Japan has a long and rich history, and the instrument we’ve just received is a model from that very era.

Among the brand’s many models that recreate iconic eras, this is the PB70, modeled after 1970s specifications.
Featuring the “Modern Logo”—a black logo with gold trim—and a black pickguard, this model embodies the vibe of the ’70s.

With an open yet moderately tight tone centered on the midrange, it delivers the quintessential “P-Bass” sound.
It’s great for fingerstyle, of course, but its looks also make you want to grab a pick and play with downstrokes.

The neck is currently in good condition, and there are no issues affecting playability.
There is about half a turn of play left on the truss rod when loosening it, and it feels slightly stiff when tightening.

Based on the serial number, it appears to have been manufactured around 2002–2004. Overall, there are scratches, dents, cracks and chips in the finish, and some tarnish on the metal parts.
Additionally, both the volume and tone knobs have been replaced.
