A Rare H.S. Anderson Steel Guitar Has Arrived!
This H.S. Anderson 6-string single-neck steel guitar was produced for a brief period in the 1980s. It is made in Japan.
While its appearance resembles Fender models with three legs, it features a unique construction and design—such as tuning pegs mounted on a separate wooden block (which is covered by a metal plate, so it’s not visible from the outside) and a fingerboard made of wood resembling rosewood.
The body is believed to be made of ash or SEN WOOD. It is equipped with two pickups, likely by Bill Lawrence. The controls, starting from the headstock side, are volume, tone, and pickup balancer.
There are dents and scratches on the wooden parts, and some tarnish and slight rust on the metal parts. None of these are particularly noticeable. The extension and retraction of the legs are slightly stiff, but this does not interfere with practical use.
One of the three legs has a crack in the tip cap. There is some slight squeaking in the controls, but this should not significantly hinder practical use.
It features the solid build quality typical of Japanese-made instruments. Its bright, clean tone should pair well with Hawaiian and country music.

*Since replacement strings were not available, the strings that came with the instrument have been left on. Please excuse any rust or deterioration on the strings. The instrument is currently strung for C6th tuning.
