A 2026 Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic 3-Tone Sunburst has arrived!
This is a rare instrument, custom-ordered based on a catalog model!

It features a lightweight body made of “2-piece Off-Center Alder” with a “Lacquer” finish, a “Maple Plain Grain” neck with a “Medium Tint Nitrocellulose Lacquer” finish, and a “Round-LAM AAA Rosewood” fingerboard.
The neck shape is the easy-to-grip “1969 ‘U’” specification, and the fingerboard radius is “9.5R.”
It features a 21-fret “Vintage Upgrade/45085” fret set, a signature Custom Shop design that retains the best of vintage aesthetics while offering modern playability.

The finish is “Journeyman Relic.” The classic “3-Tone Sunburst” color, combined with weathered effects, creates a dignified finish that evokes the atmosphere of the era.
It is equipped with three “Hand-Wound 69 Strat” pickups.
Its appeal lies in its wide dynamic range, spanning from the powerful, full-bodied tone characteristic of a 1969 Strat to the crisp, cutting sound typical of a Strat.
Additionally, the middle pickup features a “Reverse Wind / Reverse Pole” (RWRP) design, which provides hum-canceling effects when the half-tone position is selected.
The control system utilizes the “Fat 50 Strat 1/2 Blender,” allowing for a wide variety of sound variations thanks to its blender wiring.
This is a guitar crafted with meticulous attention to detail, both in appearance and sound.
