A used MARTIN / D-28 has arrived.

Carrying on Martin’s tradition dating back to the 1930s, the “D-28” has been beloved by players worldwide as the standard for acoustic guitars.

This particular instrument was built in 2016, prior to the major specification changes introduced in 2017.

Key specifications include a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood sides and back, a select hardwood neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge.

The bracing features 5/16-inch-wide, non-scalloped Standard X bracing, which is characterized by a powerful, well-defined low end, a clear attack, and a well-balanced sound.

As for its condition, it shows signs of aging from use, such as scratches, scuffs, and dents throughout.

There is slight swelling visible on the top.

Since the neck showed a slight tendency to bow, we have performed a corrective treatment using a neck iron at our shop. Currently, the neck has a very slight forward bow, and the string action at the 12th fret is approximately 2.6 mm on the 6th string side and approximately 2.1 mm on the 1st string side.

We have confirmed that the truss rod operates up to 180 degrees in the tightening direction.
We have leveled the frets in-house to maintain a playable height. Approximately 60% of the frets’ original material remains.

Please note that the remaining saddle height is somewhat limited, so there are restrictions on future adjustments to lower the string action.

We have also performed a binding press treatment at our shop.

It comes with the original hard case.
