USED FENDER JAPAN / TL52-70US Maple Vintage Natural [03]

We’ve just received a used TL52-70US, originally released in February 1999!

Featuring a SEN WOOD body, a maple fingerboard, and USA vintage pickups, this ’52-style Telecaster embodies the quintessential look and sound. When you think of a Telecaster, the black guard is a must. That rugged, classic look never fails to captivate, no matter how many times you see it.

Back then, the lineup included two colors: “US Blonde” (a translucent white) and “Vintage Natural” (a natural finish with a subtly sun-kissed look); this particular guitar is the latter, the Vintage Natural.

Let’s take a look at a quote from the Fender catalog of that era:

“A ’52 version featuring USA vintage pickups that recreate the distinctive sound and tone unique to the Telecaster.”

As for its condition, this is a very well-preserved specimen—remarkably so for an older Fender Japan model. Upon close inspection, there is a slight patina on the metal parts, including the saddles, but there are almost no noticeable scratches, and overall, it shows minimal signs of use.

The only minor concern is that there are two marks on the headstock where retainers were added. The marks are somewhat rough and the finish is a bit uneven, so please check the product images beforehand.

Other than that, this is a highly recommended guitar that remains in excellent condition, especially considering its age.

It features the meticulous craftsmanship unique to Fender Japan, combined with the powerful, presence-filled sound produced by vintage USA pickups. Both in appearance and sound, this is a guitar that lets you fully enjoy the '52-style Telecaster!
