A Gibson Custom Shop R8 has arrived!
In 2009, the 50th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Reissue was introduced, featuring a nylon nut and brass ABR-1 posts, along with refinements to many aspects such as the body top arch and neck angle.
This model is a 2011 instrument built to the specifications introduced in 2009.

The body features a plain maple top with a straight grain and elegant growth rings, a mahogany back, a solid mahogany neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.

The headstock features Kluson Single Ring/Double Line tuners, while the bridge is a non-wired Gibson ABR-1 with gold-hat knobs. The jack plate is originally cream-colored but has been replaced with a chrome one.

It is equipped with "Burstbucker #1/#2" pickups, CTS pots, and Bumblebee replica capacitors.

The finish is "Washed Cherry," featuring a beautiful reddish sunburst.
The R8’s signature plain top gives it a sophisticated, expert-level look.

Overall, there are scratches and dents from use, as well as some rust and discoloration on parts. The frets show wear from playing up to around the 1st to 6th frets, leaving about 70% of the original material remaining. The truss rod has been confirmed to turn 60 degrees in both directions.
