USED GUYATONE / 60s SG-72 Sunburst [04]

We have received a shipment of the SG-72, manufactured by Guyatone in the 1960s.

This is a Japanese-made model of the "VB style"—best exemplified by the Hefner violin bass—and is known as a symbol of the electric guitar boom of that era.

The control knobs have been replaced.

While there are some overall scratches, dents, and tarnish on the metal parts, it remains in good condition considering its age.

The frets are a bit low, but there is no muting or muffling of the sound.
The truss rod has no room to loosen further, but the neck currently has a slight natural bow.

The bridge is set at its lowest possible position, with the current string height at the 12th fret measuring approximately 3.5mm for the 4th string and approximately 3mm for the 1st string.

A hard case is included.
