A used GUYATONE 1970s EB-25 JB Type Sunburst has arrived.

Guyatone EB-25 is a Japanese-made model produced in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
It is a unique short-scale electric bass that is still highly regarded among vintage collectors and fans of unusual basses.

The playing feel is similar to the Fender Mustang Bass, resembling a smaller version of the offset-style Fender Jazz Bass.

The body is thick, with a distinctive shape featuring deep elbow and belly contours.
It is equipped with a single humbucker pickup; this particular instrument features an original Maxon humbucker.
The pickup is positioned exactly in the center, allowing it to produce a tone closer to a Precision Bass despite being a Jazz Bass.

Controls: 1 volume, 1 tone
The neck is a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and binding.
It features a zero fret and a metal nut

Despite its short scale, the neck offers a solid grip.
It sounds great when paired with distortion pedals like the Fuzz.

Overall, there are some scratches and dents.
The neck currently has a slight forward bow; the truss rod is vintage and a bit stiff, but it can be adjusted in both directions

Guyatone EB-25は、1960年代後半 1970年代前半に製作された日本製のメーカーです。
ビザール系ショートスケール・エレキベースで、今でもオールド・コレクターやビザール・ベース好きの間で評価されているモデルでございます。

弾き心地は、Fender Mustang Bassに近く、オフセット・スタイルのFender Jazz Bassを小さくした形となります。

ボディは厚めで、エルボーコンターとベリーコンターが深めに入っている個性的な形状
ピックアップは、ハムバッカー×1の仕様で、こちらの個体には、オリジナルでMaxon製のハムバッカーが搭載されております
ピックアップ位置は、丁度センター位置になっており、JBながらPBに近い音色がえられます。

コントロールは、ボリューム1トーン
ネックは、メイプルネック+ローズウッド指板、バインディング付き
ゼロフレットを採用しており、金属製ナットを装備

サウンドは、ショートスケールながらしっかりとしたネックグリップ。
Fazzなど歪エフェクターを相性もよく鳴らすと楽しいです。

全体的に、擦り傷、打痕がございます。
ネックは現状やや順反り、トラスロッドは年代物なので、少し固着気味ですが両方向調整可能
