2016年製 1963 ES-335TD VOSが入荷いたしました。
今はなきメンフィス・ファクトリーにて製作された一本。
トップに使用するメイプルは現地選定材を使用しており、ヒストリック・バーストの色味と共に、美しいルックスが魅力的です。
メンフィス・ファクトリーでのメイプル材の選定は希少で、2018年に工場が閉鎖となってしまったこともあり、数回のみだったと記憶しております。
ダブルリングのクルーソン・ペグに指板上のブロック・ポジションマーク、スリムなホーンのシェイプやショート・ピックガードなど、1963年のスタイルが再現されております。
ネックは薄めの60sシェイプ、ナイロン・サドルも大きな特徴です。
ピックアップはメンフィス・オリジナルのMHSハムバッカーを搭載。
キャパシタはブラック・ビューティーを搭載し、ポットは550kΩのカスタムCTSポットを使用しており、サウンドへの強い拘りが感じられます。
その他にもチューブレス・トラスロッドやハイドグルー(膠)接着、ロング・スタッドなどのヒストリック・スペックを採用しており、ナイスなサウンドが味わえる一本となっております。
小傷やバックル傷が見受けられますが、一見して目立つ傷はございません。
フレットはあまり減っておらず、トラスロッドも余裕がございます。
ネックは6弦側に対して、1弦側が若干純反り気味ですが、演奏やセッティングに支障が出るレベルではございません。
オリジナル・ハードケース、ハンドセレクト専用の認定証が付属いたします。

A 2016 1963 ES-335TD VOS has arrived.
This guitar was crafted at the now-defunct Memphis factory.
The maple used for the top was selected on-site, and combined with the Historic Burst finish, it boasts a beautiful appearance.
Maple selection at the Memphis Factory was a rare occurrence; I recall it happened only a few times, especially since the factory closed in 2018.
Features such as the double-ring Kluson tuners, block position marks on the fingerboard, slim horn shape, and short pickguard faithfully recreate the 1963 style.
The neck features a slim 60s profile, and the nylon saddle is another standout feature.
It is equipped with Memphis-original MHS humbuckers.
It features a Black Beauty capacitor and 550kΩ custom CTS pots, demonstrating a strong commitment to sound quality.
It also incorporates historic specifications such as a tubeless truss rod, hide glue construction, and long studs, making this a guitar that delivers a truly great sound.
There are some minor scratches and buckle marks, but no noticeable damage at first glance.
The frets show minimal wear, and there is plenty of adjustment left on the truss rod.
The neck has a slight reverse bow on the 1st string side compared to the 6th string side, but it is not significant enough to interfere with playing or setup.
It comes with the original hard case and a Hand-Selected certification card.
