A rare 2011 Starla Core model has arrived in our used inventory!
The Starla Core is popular for its unique look and modern specs. While models like the SE and S2 are available, this instrument belongs to the “Core Series,” which was produced as the top-of-the-line model until around 2013.

The body and neck are crafted from mahogany, while the fingerboard features rosewood. The body boasts PRS’s signature archtop (contoured) design with beautiful curves.

The headstock features Kluson-style tuners, the Paul Reed Smith logo, and a truss rod cover engraved with “Starla.”
The neck is based on a pre-factory-era design and represents an updated version of PRS’s wide and fat neck style. This neck incorporates the “Pattern (Wide Fat) Neck Carve”—which was used on instruments crafted for Carlos Santana, Peter Frampton, and Howard Leith from the late 1970s through the mid-1980s—along with 22 frets, no binding, and dot position marks.

It is equipped with PRS USA’s original “Starla Bass/Treble” pickups and features Master Volume, Master Tone (Coiltap), and a 3-way selector control.
The hardware is nickel-plated and includes a Tune-o-Matic bridge and a Bigsby B-50 tremolo unit.

The instrument is finished in black, giving it a sleek look.
While there are some minor scratches from use, it remains in relatively good condition; the frets have approximately 70% life remaining, and we have confirmed that the truss rod rotates 60 degrees in both directions.
