A 2016 Standard Historic 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue has arrived.

Although the Historic Collection was discontinued in 2014 with the introduction of the True Historic line, the “Standard Historic” was launched in 2016, carrying on the specifications of its predecessor.

Its appeal lies in popular specifications that remain relevant today, such as the use of animal glue for the fingerboard and neck joint as well as the neck-to-body joint, long tailpiece studs, a tubeless truss rod, and Custom Buckers (potted).

The model we’ve received is the R7, featuring a cool “Antique Gold” finish.
The neck feels slightly thicker than current models.
Figured wood is hidden beneath the gold top, and when light is shone on the top, a faint flame pattern can be seen through the finish.

There are scattered scratches and minor marks on the body, and there is also a pick mark on the 6th-string side of the neck pickup mounting ring.
While there are signs of use as described above, there is no major damage.

The neck is in good condition, and there is plenty of play left in the truss rod.
There are some wear marks on the frets in the lower positions, but they do not interfere with playing, and there is still plenty of fret height remaining.

Since there are currently no Core Model Gold Tops with a gloss finish available, this is a great opportunity for anyone looking for one.

It comes with the original brown case, certificate of authenticity, backplate (plain), tags, and case key.
