A used 2009 Gibson Custom SG Special has just arrived!

"The certificate of authenticity lists the model as 'SG Special,' the truss rod cover on the headstock lacks the 'Les Paul' engraving, and the bridge features a wrap-around plain bar—indicating that this 2009 Historic Collection model faithfully reproduces the vintage specifications from around 1962.

Both the body and neck are crafted from solid mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard, and the set-neck construction features a long tenon—a faithful recreation of vintage Gibson guitars by the Custom Shop artisans.
The headstock features a simple design with only the “Gibson” logo, and the tuners are white Kluson buttons. The bound neck, featuring dot position marks, is a slightly thinner “Slim Taper” profile designed for superior playability.

It is equipped with two “P-90 Soapbar” pickups and features a 2-Vol/2-Tone/3-Way Selector control system, utilizing CTS pots, Bumblebee replica capacitors, and Switchcraft jacks and selectors.

The guitar is finished in standard Cherry Red; it has faded slightly overall, giving it a subdued, mellow red hue.
There are some scratches, dents, and scuffs from use, as well as buckle marks on the back of the body; however, these do not affect playability. Approximately 80% of the frets remain, and while the truss rod is currently tightened, we have confirmed that it can be turned 60 degrees in both directions.
