Fender Japan ST62-TX/MH Jupiter Blue MOD - 2010, 2012-

We have received a Fender Japan ST62-TX/MH manufactured in the early 2010s.
Based on the ST62 series—which takes its inspiration from the 1962 Stratocaster—the ST62-TX features USA-made Texas Special pickups. Among these models, this particular guitar is the ST62-TX/MH, featuring a “matching head” finish where the body and headstock are finished in the same color.

The color is a vivid and distinctive Jupiter Blue. With its unified body and headstock coloring paired with a rosewood fingerboard, this guitar boasts a striking appearance.
It features traditional wood materials: an alder body, a maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard. With its 21-fret configuration—faithful to the 1962 style—and vintage-style neck profile, the finish evokes the classic Stratocaster of yesteryear.

The front and middle positions are equipped with USA-made Texas Special pickups. Featuring Alnico V magnets, these pickups deliver a powerful midrange and a crisp attack.
The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan APS-1 Alnico II Pro Staggered. Characterized by a smooth, warm tone produced by Alnico II magnets, it offers a sound character distinct from the Texas Specials in the front and middle positions. The tonal variations across different positions are another unique charm of this instrument.

The guitar weighs approximately 3.55 kg and offers the excellent playability typical of a Stratocaster.
