Headless guitars & headless basses spread around the world in the 80's with the advent of Steinberger.
Steinberger and the Status are probably the only guitars that use the new carbon graphite material.

The combination of the futuristic woven graphite and the gorgeous wood-grained body made a big impact on the players of the time. The combination of futuristic woven graphite and gorgeous wood grain body made a big impact on players at that time.

In the 80's, the Series-2 was priced at 700,000 yen, which was as expensive as the Alembic, and only a handful of artists (almost none) were using it.
The artists who spread the status in Japan were MIKE PORCARO of the band TOTO, which boasted absolute popularity at that time, and MARK KING, who has become synonymous with the status. Surprisingly, MARK KING was only used for a short period of time in the 80's, but the cover of the live album "Physical Presence" leaves a strong impression. The brand became popular as a brand that fans could not get enough of.
It has a very tasteful sound that is not found in modern basses, with its graphite-like quickness in pronunciation and sound release, and the treble of the equalizer is a little low in frequency.

The pots were found to be a little worn, so we have replaced them with genuine parts from the UK. The active on/off switch has also been replaced.
There is a sticker of Kanda Shokai, the importer at that time, on the battery case lid. This is also an original item from the 1988 GRECO guitar catalog.

This is a treasure of England's 80s status, which has an important meaning in the history of bass guitars...
