Very good condition 1968 JAZZBASS.

This is a sunburst finish called "Faux Grain" with a white undercoat and wood grain, which was seen in the late 1960's. After a long period of use, the white layer of the sunburst will be scraped off, exposing a unique and attractive finish.
After long use, the burst layer is worn away and the white layer is exposed, giving the guitar an attractive finish with a unique "burnt" look.
Jazbe by Seishi Sato of Kururi and Prebe by Hiroyuki Deguchi of MONOBLIGHT are examples of this finish.

All three pot dates are 6631, but Fender purchased a large number of pots in 1966, so the '66 pots were used from '68 to '69. Both front and rear pickups are from 1968, and no solder has been replaced, so the electrical system can be considered original.

The jack has been replaced with a recent one, and since the previous owner was a player, he replaced it with a new one for the sake of reliability, so the original jack is included.

Neck date is "7DEC68A" The condition of the neck and frets is extremely good, and this area has been adjusted to meet the serious needs of the previous owner, so the playability is perfect.

For some reason, I have a connection with Faux Grain guitars, and I have handled several of them, but all of them had a sweet and deep sound. We would like you to experience this rare model born from the gap between the times and FENDER's circumstances.

非常にコンディションの良い1968年 JAZZBASS

Faux Grain と呼ばれるホワイトの下地に木目が描かれたサンバーストで、1960年代後期に見られるフィニッシュです。
長期間使用されるとバーストの層が削られきてホワイト層が露出し独特のヤラレ具合が魅力的なフィニッシュでもあります。
くるりの佐藤征史さんのジャズベや、MONOBLIGHTの出口博之さんのプレベなどがいわゆるコレです。

ポットデイトは3つとも6631ですがフェンダー社は1966年に大量にポットを仕入れたため、68～69年まで66年製のポットが使用されていました。ピックアップはフロント、リア共に68年製でハンダの付け替えも見受けられませんので、電装系はオリジナルと考えてい良いと思います。

ジャックは近年のものに交換済みで前オーナー様がプレーヤーであったため、信頼度の意味でも新品に交換したとのことで、オリジナルのジャックは付属しております。

ネックデイトは「7DEC68A」 ネック及びフレットの状況は極めて良好で、このあたりも前オーナー様のシビアなニーズに応えられた調整が施されており、プレイアビリティは万全です。

なぜか Faux Grain の個体に縁があるのかこれまで何本か扱いましたが、いずれも甘くディープなサウンドという印象でした。時代の狭間とFENDER 社の都合から生まれたレアモデルを是非一度体験いただきたいです。

The items name with "USED" are used items, and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.
