Sadowksy TYO 5-string bass, which existed as a custom line of Sadowsky made in Japan, is now in stock!

Mr. Yoshiyuki Kikuchi, who recently launched "Three Dots Guitars" and "Kikuchi Guitars", was the chief luthier of Sadowsky TYO.
This is a rare guitar that is now out of production.

Unlike the Metroline Series, which has limited specifications, the "TYO" series is a custom series made to meet the needs of each individual user.
The new arrival is a standard 5-string JB type with a Roasted Maple neck and a black matching head.

The body material is Ash, the fingerboard is Maple, the neck is Roasted Maple, and the pickups are the standard Split J. The body material is Ash, the fingerboard is Maple, the neck is Roasted Maple, and the pickups are the standard Split J.
The combination of a Roasted Maple neck and a regular Maple fingerboard is quite rare.
The sound has a moderate sense of cohesion and mid-range push that is characteristic of roasted maple, but it is not too harsh, giving an easy-to-use impression. This is probably due to the Maple/Roasted Maple combination. The weight is also light for a 5-string bass at 4.09 kg, despite being solid, and is one of the points that we can recommend.

The pitch between the strings is 19mm, which is standard for Sadowsky basses, and the nut width is 47mm.

Both truss rod and neck are in good condition.
There are some minor scratches due to the black color, but the overall condition is good with only some dings and paint chips on the head and dings on the body end.

The pickguard has been replaced with a white pearl pattern. (The genuine parchment 3-ply is also included.) The head logo is also in the gold color used for matching heads, which is cool. The case is also Porta Bag!

This is a very rare TYO!

日本製Sadowskyのカスタムラインとして存在したSadowksy TYOの5弦ベースが中古で入荷!!

近年”Three Dots Guitars”,”Kikuchi Guitars” を立ち上げた菊地嘉幸氏がチーフ・ルシアーを務めていたSadowsky TYO
現在は生産完了となった貴重な一本が入荷です。

”TYO”はスペックが限定されたメトロラインシリーズとは異なり、ユーザー一人一人のニーズに合わせて製作されるカスタムシリーズ。
今回入荷した個体は、スタンダードな5弦JBタイプを基本に、ネック材をRoasted MapleとしカラーをBlackのマッチングヘッドとした一本。

ボディー材はAsh、指板はMaple、ネックはRoasted Maple、ピックアップは定番のSplit Jとなっております。
なかなか珍しい、ネックがRoasted Mapleでありながら指板は通常のMapleという組み合わせがポイントでしょう。
サウンドとしては、ローステッドメイプル特有の音のまとまり感やミッドレンジの押し出し感が適度にありつつも、くどくないレベルとなっており使いやすい印象があります。やはりこれはMaple/Roasted Mapleの組み合わせからくるものでしょう。重量もソリッドながら4.09kgと5弦ベースとしては軽量で、おすすめできるポイントの一つです。

弦間ピッチはサドウスキーでは定番の19mm、ナット幅は47mmとなります。

トラスロッド、ネックともにコンディション良好。
ブラックカラー故に小キズはございますが、ヘッドの打痕・塗装欠け、ボディーエンドの打痕がある程度で全体的には良好なコンディションと言えます。

ピックガードが交換されており、ホワイトパール柄となっております。(純正のパーチメント3プライも付属します。)ヘッドロゴもマッチングヘッドの際に使用されるGoldカラーとなっており格好良いですね。ケースもPorta Bagです!!
