Tokai LS-120 "Les Paul Reborn" is a LP type guitar made by Tokai Gakki, which boasted a high degree of perfection outstanding among the many copy models of the original in the 1970s.

The high degree of perfection and the reasonable price range at that time attracted many guitarists.
The existence of these models led to the birth of the O brand, which was later developed by the original family as a domestically produced LP.

The model we have just received is a top-of-the-line model of the LS series produced in 1979.
The logo on the head top is a decal of "Les Paul REBORN", which can never be used nowadays.

The fingerboard end is stamped with "120" and the front pickup cavity is stamped with "LS120 OS", confirming that this is definitely an LS120 OS (Old Cherry Sunburst).

The top of the body is made of real flame maple, not film or laminated.
The pickups are Dimarzio PAFs as standard. Double cream pickups are used to reproduce the rare specifications of the original 59LP.

The rear pickup was disconnected when it arrived at our store, so it was repaired instead of replaced at a repair shop.
In that case, the coil on one side was changed, but all the necessary parts were transplanted from the same Dimarzio PAF unit that was installed on a Tokai of the same age.
The restoration work was done not by replacing the coils but by restoring them to their original state.

All electrical components are the original circuit board type. The pegs are also original with TOKAI engraving.
The hard case is also original, and the pickups were kept as original as possible.

This is the highest peak of the LS series, and the price of this series has been rising rapidly in recent years, but the 120 is exceptional! This is one of the Les Paul REBORN.
This is a very classy one, and I think it is very rare to find one of this caliber in the future.
