Clifford Travis Bean was an American string instrument maker and machinist from California.
In 1974, he partnered with MarcMcElwee and GaryKramer to produce high-end electric guitars and basses with machined aluminum necks.

Gary Kramer is the founder of that Kramer company that grew rapidly in the 1980s with Edward Van Halen on the billboard and disappeared like a comet.
He is the founder of that Kramer (now one of the Gibson brands).
In the early days, Kramer also released aluminum neck guitars and basses under the Kramer brand.

The TB-2000 was used by Bill Wyman and Mick Karn and became known to bassists, while the guitar version, the TB-1000, was used by Keith, Ron Wood, Garcia, and many other guitarists, bringing it into the spotlight.
For some reason, the overwhelming majority of users were British, perhaps because the cold sound of the TB-1000 matched the British sound.

The unique aluminum construction of the base, neck, and back-threaded ball end, where the pickups and bridge are mounted, achieves an ultra-super-long sustain and a beautiful bright, piano-like tone.
The unique construction and the aluminum neck have been talked about for a long time, but the appeal of this instrument is its beautiful sound with a surprisingly wide range that can be used for modern music.
The body is made of KOA, and the beautiful grain in the inorganic aluminum is also eye-catching.
The volume and tone knobs have been replaced, and the pot shaft has loosened over time to keep it original, but it has not been replaced.

This is a one-of-a-kind, extremely rare and unique instrument that was born between the cracks of history. It is cool to the touch!

ゲイリークレイマーとは1980年代にエドワード・ヴァンヘイレンを広告塔に急成長し彗星のごとく消えた
あの Kramer の創設者で、(現在はギブソン社のブランドの一つ)
初期にはKRAMER ブランドでアルミネックのギター＆ベースも発表しています。

当機TB-2000はビル・ワイマンやミックカーンが使用したことでベーシストにも知られるところなりますが、ギターバージョンのTB-1000は キース、ロンウッド、ガルシアなど、そうそうたるギタリストが愛用した事で、脚光を浴びる事となります。
なぜかユーザーは圧倒的にブリティッシュ系が多数、おそらく冷たい響きがブリティッシュのサウンドがマッチしていたのでしょう。

ピックアップとブリッジがマウントされるベース(土台の意)と、ネック、裏通しのボールエンド部までがアルミで一体化された独自構造により、脅威のウルトラスーパーロングサスティンを実現、ピアノのような美しいブライトな音色も持ち味のひとつ。
その特異な構造とアルミネックの話のみが先行しますが、意外と現代の音楽に使用できるレンジの広い美しいサウンドが魅力です。
またボディ材にはKOAが使用されアルミの無機質さの中に美しい木目にも目を奪われます。
ボリューム、トーンのノブ類は交換されており、オリジナルを保つ為ポットシャフト経年のゆるみがありますが交換しません。

The items name with "USED" are used items, and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.

All items for sale on ISHIBASHI MUSIC are stock currently available from all of ISHIBASHI stores around Japan. So it might take a few days for shipping.

And there is a chance that they may sell out in our retail location beforehand.
