Vintage pineapple ukulele from the late 1920s is now in stock!

This pineapple shape, now a standard, was actually patented by Kamaka during this period and was an original shape at the time.
Since there is no patent number on the inner label, it was manufactured just before the patent was granted.

There are several crack repair marks on the top and back of the body, and the lower right part of the top has been repaired with buried wood.

The original neck angle is shallow, so the string height is high, and the sound of the koa wood body is loud and boomy, which is different from the recent pine type.

Also, most of the pineapple decals on the head surface have been removed.

It may not be the most flattering instrument to use, but it is one that you will want to touch for its long ukulele history.

1920年後半のビンテージ・パインアップル・ウクレレが入荷！

今では定番となったこのパイナップルシェイプ、実はカマカがこの時代に特許を取得し、当時オリジナリティを発揮していたシェイプになります。
インナーラベルにパテントナンバーが入っていないため、特許取得直前の製造品となります。

ボディトップ、バックに複数のクラック修正痕が見られ、トップの右下部分には埋木をして補修した箇所があり、修正痕は多いですが楽器としてのコンディションは年代を考えれば良好かと思われます。

元々のネックアングルが浅いため弦高は高い仕様で、コア材ボディのサウンドはボワンと大きく鳴る、近年物のパイン型とは違ったサウンドです。

また、ヘッド表面に貼られていたパイナップルのデカールはほとんど剥がれています。

お世辞にも使いやすい楽器とは言えないかもしれませんが、長いウクレレの歴史を知る上で触れておきたくなる一本です。

The items name with "USED" are used items, and comes as shown in the pictures so there may be marks of use. All items were tested by our store staff and we test each item one more time before shipping them out to make sure they are fully functional.

All items for sale on ISHIBASHI MUSIC are stock currently available from all of ISHIBASHI stores around Japan. So it might take a few days for shipping.

And there is a chance that they may sell out in our retail location beforehand.
