Serial: 96150, made in 2016.

Among the Gibson Custom lineup, the 1959 Les Paul is the flagship model of the Royal Road. This True Historic model has undergone frequent refinements over the years since its days as part of the Historic Collection lineup, but now it has been elevated to a new level.

The body is a combination of double-step CNC rough carving and hand-finish sanding, successfully recreating the graceful body curves and neck shape characteristic of the 1950s. The neck shape is based on the Les Paul shape that Edwin Wilson himself felt was most appropriate for the 59 shape after scanning 3D data from a large number of vintage Les Pauls under the supervision of Edwin Wilson at the time. It is very comfortable in the hand and provides a smooth feel.

The pickups are the same as before, custom backers with a combination of alnico 3 magnets and coils with a slightly different number of windings. It is characterized by a fat bass tone with rich overtones, and a bright sound with a good punch. The sound is bright, but without any high-frequency tininess, and the sharp edges have been removed, making it sound as if it has been played for years. It has a very familiar sound as if it has been played for years.

The instrument is in very clean condition with little signs of use. There are almost no dents or scratches, and only two paint chips on the head and some color loss on the body and neck back. The playing condition is good, with plenty of room in the truss rod.

The guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity, pre-pack checklist, and other papers.
