USED Gibson / 1973 L-5S Sunburst [05]

The L-5S was introduced as a high-end model in the 70's. This model with low-impedance pickups was produced in a short period of time and in very small numbers, making it a rare piece.

This model features a 5-piece neck with flame maple top and back and maple mahogany. The fingerboard is ebony with Avalon inlays, and it has the same head inlays and tailpiece as the L-5, giving it a very gorgeous look.

As you can see on the back, the back panel is carved out of solid maple to match the curve of the body, which also adds to the gorgeous looks. There is a slight chip on the screw part of the back panel, but it is not that noticeable.

There are some scratches, dents, and dings commensurate with its age, and the pegs have been replaced (with screw holes filled in), and the nut and frets have been replaced, but there are no operational problems. The truss rod has plenty of room, and playability is good.
