コレクターズ・チョイス・シリーズ発売以来、最も待望されていたリリースの一つ、コレクターズ・チョイス #5、1959 Les Paul #9-1923、通称「Donna」。バーストコレクターであるTom Wittrockの所有するDonnaを忠実に再現したモデルです。
True Historicシリーズに準じるスペックで製作された隙の無い仕上がり。ダブルステップのCNCラフカーヴィングと、手仕上げのサンディングを融合させることにより、オリジナル特有の優美なボディトップカーブとネックシェイプを再現しております。
ネックやボディの接着にはヴィンテージ同様にハイドグルー(ニカワ)が採用され、塗装に関しても、ハンドスプレーのテクニック、ドライサンディング・ウエットサンディングの工程を含めた全てのプロセスをリファイン。Gibson Customが莫大な予算を投じたトゥルーヒストリック・パーツと、手作業のシェイピングによりオーセンティックな風合いが実現された渾身の仕上がりです。
エイジド加工が施されているため後からのキズなどは判断が難しいですが、キレイな状態を保っています。もちろんトラスロッド含めプレイアビリティは良好です。

Gibson Custom Shop / Collectors Choice #5 Tom Wittrock 1959 Les Paul "Donna" Donna Burst is in stock!
One of the most anticipated releases since the launch of the Collector's Choice Series, Collector's Choice #5, 1959 Les Paul #9-1923, aka "Donna". This model is a faithful reproduction of the Donna owned by burst collector Tom Wittrock.
The finish is flawless, built to True Historic Series specs. Double-step CNC rough carving and hand-finish sanding are combined to reproduce the graceful body top curve and neck shape of the original.
The neck and body are glued with hide glue, just like vintage guitars, and the entire painting process has been refined, including hand-spraying techniques, dry sanding, and wet sanding. True historic parts and hand shaping have been used to achieve an authentic look and feel.
The aged finish makes it difficult to determine any scratches from later use, but it is in beautiful condition. Of course, playability is excellent, including the truss rod.
This is an official replica of one of the most beautiful guitars "Donna".
