"Silktone" is a brand based in California, USA, that manufactures pedals, amplifiers, and cabinets.
The Overdrive+ features an original circuit that delivers both familiar and unique tones, ranging from a low-gain, always-on tone enhancer to a high-gain, aggressive lead machine. It incorporates JFETs, op-amps, and diodes to cover a wide dynamic range.
The op-amp is used for gain and buffering; since it’s boosted to approximately 30V, it won’t clip even when stacked in front of other pedals. All clipping is controlled by the JFET or diodes.

In addition to the standard VOL, TONE, and GAIN controls, there’s a Bass Cut switch for a perfectly tight finish, and a Clipping Mode switch to toggle between symmetric and asymmetric clipping styles (symmetric is smoother, while asymmetric is more natural and textured).
The STRANGLE/RAW Boost is a really cool feature. Think of it as the “+” part of an overdrive plus.
It’s a highly versatile tone-shaping boost that adds gain and harmonic distortion to the signal. STRANGLE uses a resonant filter to create a subtle wah effect, while RAW removes this filter for a full-range boost.
