The 2025 Fender Made in Japan Char Stratocaster has arrived!!

Char is a guitarist who has had a profound influence on the history of Japanese rock and continues to stand at the forefront of the scene today.

The Char Stratocaster is a signature model crafted in Japan based on Char’s own 1959 Stratocaster—an iconic instrument that epitomizes his career.
The most eye-catching feature is the matching headstock coloring, which features the original “Char Burgundy” finish—a subdued Burgundy Mist Metallic that replicates the patina achieved through aging.

The pickups—the heart of the sound—feature the Char Original Single Coil Stratocaster, developed specifically to reproduce Char’s warm, full-bodied tone.
The neck, which determines playability, reproduces the distinctive grip characterized by a thin profile at the low frets and substantial thickness at the high frets.

Additionally, as a key factor affecting both sound and playability, the neck pocket has been designed deeper than usual to replicate the relaxed tension found on Char’s actual guitar.
This allows for light-touch playing even with high string action, just like Char’s own guitar, and produces richer harmonics.
Furthermore, taking Char’s dynamic whammy bar use into account, the tremolo block cavity has been designed wider than usual to increase the range of adjustment.

While there are some signs of light wear, there is no major damage, and the guitar maintains a beautiful appearance.
After arrival, it was inspected and fully adjusted by a professional repair technician, and it is in excellent playing condition.
