A used 2022 Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab 1959 ES-355 Reissue Stop Bar Ultra Light Aged Ebony has arrived!

The guitar has aged naturally over time, giving it a more distinguished appearance than a brand-new Ultra Light Aged model.

Due to the Ultra Light Aged finish, the details of any scratches acquired after production are unclear, but there are playing scratches on the pickguard and some clear coat lifting on the headstock surface.
Otherwise, the neck is in excellent condition and there is plenty of fret life remaining.

Unlike the ES-335, the ES-355 is a higher-end model featuring diamond inlays on the headstock, multi-binding adorning the headstock and body, luxurious gold hardware, and an ebony fingerboard.

The body features a three-piece maple/poplar/maple construction; the center block is made of solid maple with a closed rear cavity; it comes with a gold Grover tuner, an ABR-1 bridge, a multi-ply bound celluloid long pickguard, and an Authentic '59 Medium C-Shape neck, which has a thicker and sturdier neck profile than the 1960 model.

It is equipped with Custombucker Alnico 3 (unpotted) pickups.
The finish is an ebony color with an overall cracked appearance, achieved through Murphy Lab’s aging process.

The sound is full-bodied thanks to the thicker neck, with a defined midrange that doesn’t get lost even when played with overdrive.
It’s suitable for a wide range of genres, including rock, blues, and jazz.
