Celebrating its 130th anniversary since its founding in 1894, Gibson presents this signature model based on the ES-355 used by B.B. King at the legendary “Zaire ’74” music festival held in the Republic of Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) in 1974.

This limited edition, available in only 100 pieces, faithfully reproduces the 1974 ES-355 with a walnut finish that B.B. King used in concert. It features a Murphy Lab light-aging finish, mother-of-pearl inlays, T-Type Custom Bucker pickups, a mono-varitone switch, and a Maestro Vibro-Lora tailpiece.

Additionally, this model comes with a variety of accessories inspired by his performances at historic festivals and the legendary “Rumble in the Jungle” boxing match.

This instrument was manufactured in 2024. Due to the aged finish, it is difficult to assess signs of use; however, as there are absolutely no visible signs of use, we have classified it as being in like-new condition. Of course, it plays exceptionally well.
