USED FENDER / CUSTOM SHOP 1957 Stratocaster Hard Tail 2 Coler Sunburst [06]

This is a hardtail 57 Strat made by the early Custom Shop.
There is no certificate, but there are Custom Shop stamps on the neck and body, and the "Certificate of Authorized Import Inspection" by Yamano Gakki states the model name as "Custom Instrument" and includes the instruction manual of the regular line Vintage Series (later American Vintage) 57 Strat. It was probably ordered as a hardtail model based on a 57 Strat, and was made by the Custom Shop at a time when the line distinction between the regular line and the Custom Shop was not as clear as it is today, Actual details are unknown.

Alder body, one-piece maple neck, back-threaded hardtail bridge, three Fender black bobbin type PUs, all three pots are probably original as the pot dates are from 1990, but the condenser has an orange drop and may have been replaced. The condenser has an orange drop and may have been replaced.
The body has a strong smell of palm oil.
The entire body has been heavily oversprayed and also shows discoloration due to paint burn and tar.
The neck end joint and the inside of the neck pocket have also been painted, and it appears that they were installed before the paint had fully cured.
The body back is peeling due to buckle marks, and the overall condition of the paint surface is poor.
The frets and nut have been replaced, and the fingerboard has been modified accordingly, and the fingerboard R is loose.
In addition, there are scratches and minor dents and dings on metal parts.
The fretboard has been cleaned and adjusted after arrival, and can be used without any playing problems.
