A used 1979 MOD Gibson Les Paul Custom has just arrived!!
Built in 1979, this guitar features a 3-piece maple top, a mahogany body, a 3-piece maple neck with a volute, and an ebony fingerboard.
This is a 70s Les Paul Custom—whose resale prices have skyrocketed in recent years—modified to resemble *that* guitarist’s *very* guitar!
With the maple in the center section showing just a hint of figure, three Double Cream DiMarzio pickups, Grover tuners with pearloid knobs, and a white back panel, this guitar is a remarkably faithful reproduction!!
Unlike models where only the bridge pickup is wired, this guitar features a more practical setup where all three pickups are fully functional.
This guitar, a genuine vintage instrument meticulously modified, would be extremely difficult to recreate today, in the year 2026.
There are scratches and dents throughout the guitar consistent with its age, and there are numerous buckle marks on the back of the body.
The neck is generally in good condition, though there is some damage on the neck side, and on the back of the headstock, there are traces of filled screw holes resulting from the replacement of the tuning pegs.
The strap pins have been replaced with locking pins, but the strap itself is missing.
As this is a modified instrument, there are numerous changes and additions to the parts, but it is in good working condition.
