The 1986 Ibanez AS200—a legendary Japanese-made semi-acoustic guitar renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship.
Featuring a flame maple body with rich tonal character, a mahogany set neck and ebony fingerboard, and two Ibanez-original Super 58 pickups, it handles a wide range of sounds—from warm, full-bodied tones to crystal-clear chord work. It’s a perfect fit not only for jazz and fusion but also for funk and blues.
It features a Tri-Sound switch that expands tonal variations, allowing you to switch the front pickup between series, parallel, and coil-tap modes. Despite its pure passive circuitry, its expressiveness is truly versatile.
There is a slight step visible near the neck joint.
There are several dents near the cutaway on the body top, on the side of the low strings.
The body binding shows signs of discoloration. There are gaps in the binding near the treble-string-side cutaway on the body back and near the strap pin at the body end.
There is a buckle scratch on the back of the body.
There is a dent on the fingerboard near the 3rd to 4th frets on the 1st string side.
There are scattered fine dents on the back of the neck.
In addition, there is rust, tarnish, playing wear, scuffs, and fine dents on the metal parts throughout the body, giving it a well-used appearance.
The instrument has been fully adjusted and cleaned since arrival.
