The “L” Series is renowned worldwide as Yamaha’s premier acoustic guitar.
Even 40 years after its release, the “L” continues to be cherished by countless artists as a legendary instrument…
It is simply because it has consistently delivered the sound and playability demanded by each era at the highest level.
It ushered in a new era of acoustic guitars in Japan, has continued to evolve with the times, and has consistently met the expectations of players.
That is the L Series.

Featuring an original jumbo body and an all-solid construction, it features Engelmann spruce for the top and rosewood for the sides and back.
The top wood undergoes a proprietary “A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement)” treatment. This achieves a rich tone reminiscent of a guitar that’s been played for many years!!
The bracing remains the traditional non-scalloped X-bracing, but in this redesign, the bracing has been lowered and its shape changed to a square. This ensures that the X-bracing’s intersection points fit perfectly!
Furthermore, the addition of side braces connecting the top and back braces ensures that string vibrations are transmitted more reliably to the back!
The neck features a 5-piece construction of mahogany and rosewood, providing greater strength and resistance to warping and twisting!
Additionally, the neck is tapered by 1 mm at the 10th fret, improving playability in the higher positions!
Furthermore, by rounding the edges of the fingerboard, we’ve achieved a smooth playing feel that fits comfortably in your hand!
The back of the headstock features a rosewood veneer and a volute design, further reinforcing the headstock!
In this new model, the string action and string spacing have been adjusted: the 6th string is set slightly lower and the 1st string slightly higher than before, and the string spacing has been widened by 0.3 mm.
It features the neck joint design used in the Custom models. The depth of the dovetail joint has been increased by an additional 4 mm, delivering rich sustain!
The entire body is finished with a stone-powder-sealed lacquer coating, delivering excellent response and dynamics!!
In addition, the luxurious abalone inlays exude a sense of sophistication!
