Like Mustang and Duo Sonic, Musicmaster was created as Fender's short scale guitar. 1980 Fender Musicmaster is now in stock!

The Duo Sonic and Musicmaster are sometimes thought to have been developed at the same time as the Mustang, but both were born older than the Mustang and were developed at different times than the Mustang. The one we have in stock is one of the styles after the specification change made in 1978; the S8XXXXXX serial number was used from 1978 to around 1982, which we determine from NeckDATE to be 1980.

This is a good guitar that can be used without hesitation at a relatively reasonable price range despite being vintage. Recommended as one of the first vintage guitars.

It has been refretted/fingerboard modified/neck back overspray/vol pot replaced. It shows signs of use (color burn, dents around the body, scuffs and playing marks, picking marks, buckle marks, small chips on the nut, cloudy/bitz/rust on metal parts and screws, and other exterior damage).

The fretboard has been set up (cleaning, string change, rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret adjustment) when it was first received. The fretboard is originally low, but the fretboard height is slightly low due to the fret adjustment, and the truss rod can be adjusted to tighten or loosen up to ±60°. The truss rod is adjustable in the tightening and loosening directions and has been tested to ±60°.

Please read carefully.
